Ticker:  WIZZ

Geneva, 4 June 2024: Wizz Air Holdings Plc ("Wizz Air"), one of the most sustainable European airlines, today announces passenger and CO2 emission statistics for May 2024.

In May 2024, Wizz Air carried 5,130,316 passengers at a load factor of 91.0%. Capacity operated during the month was up 1.2% yoy, reflecting the continuing impact of GTF engine-related groundings. The load factor improved by 0.7ppts versus last year, reflecting strong management action in balancing passenger volumes and yield progression.

During the month:

-       Wizz Air celebrated the 20th anniversary of its first flight from Katowice to London Luton which took place in May 2004.

-       Wizz Air was named Best Low-Cost Airline in Central and Eastern Europe and was recognized for the Best Cabin Crew from passengers in the region, at the CEESAR awards.

-       For the month of May, CO2 emissions were 52.9 grams per passenger/km. This is 1.5% higher than the same month last year, given suboptimal fleet mix due to the A321neo groundings.
