OCTOBER 2023 TRAFFIC AND CO2 EMISSION STATISTICS
WIZZ AIR CARRIED 5.4 MILLION PASSENGERS, AN INCREASE OF 19% YEAR-ON-YEAR

Geneva, 2 November 2023: Wizz Air Holdings Plc ("Wizz Air"), the fastest growing and one of the most sustainable European airlines, today announces passenger and CO2 emission statistics for October 2023.
In October 2023, Wizz Air carried 5,404,480 passengers, representing a 19.4% increase compared to October 2022, at a load factor of 92.5%.
The airline continued to grow its network and improve its customer offering in October. During the month:
· Wizz Air suspended operations in Israel until November 15, due to the ongoing situation in the region. The safety of its passengers, employees and aircraft remains the top priority for the company, and the airline continues to evaluate the situation on the ground.
· Wizz Air announced a major expansion from next summer in its key markets of Italy, Romania, and Albania. Italian bases in Rome and Milan will see the largest schedule deployed to date with the addition of four new A321neo aircraft, three in Rome and one in Milan. Bucharest, Romania, is increasing in size with the addition of two A321neo from June 2024. Tirana, Albania, will receive two additional A321neo aircraft from next summer, adding two new routes and growing the frequencies on existing routes.
· The addition of an 8th modern aircraft to Wizz Air's Gdansk, Poland fleet from April 2024, was announced.
· Wizz Air also announced that it was initiating flights from Budapest and Bucharest to Glasgow, commencing from November this year, in addition to new flights from Debrecen, Hungary to Rome Fiumicino from December.
· Wizz Air consistently reports the lowest CO2 emissions per passenger/km among competitor airlines, with 51.4 grams per passenger/km for the rolling 12 months to 31 October 2023. For the month of October, CO2 emissions were 50.7 grams per passenger/km (5.0% lower than the same month last year).
