Wood Group (John) PLC 19 May 2005 19th May 2005 John Wood Group PLC ('Wood Group') Chairman's AGM Statement 'On track for a return to acceptable growth in 2005' At today's Annual General Meeting, Sir Ian Wood, Chairman and Chief Executive of Wood Group, the international energy services provider, commented: 'In 2005, our strong position in key growth segments in Oil & Gas markets worldwide and the actions taken to improve the results in our under-performing areas are providing the anticipated improvement in trading results in the early months of the year. 'In Engineering and Production Facilities, we are winning a range of new contracts, including the provision of detailed design to the East Area Natural Gas Liquids project offshore Nigeria and, as part of a joint venture, the recently-awarded provision of FEED and EPCM services to Greater Gorgon, a major gas development offshore Western Australia. 'Well Support is continuing to make good progress in strong Oil & Gas markets round the world, and in Gas Turbine Services we are winning further long term contracts, including the Alliant F-Tech service contract announced today. 'Overall, we confirm our confidence that 2005 will see a return to acceptable growth.'
