Obtala Resources plc (the 'Company')

Award of Share Options

Obtala Resources PLC announces that on 24 October 2004 it approved the grant of options over the ordinary shares of 1p to the following directors of the Company, Simon Rollanson, Professor John Monhemius and Nicholas Clarke (in accordance with the terms of the Company's unapproved Share Option Scheme).

The Options to be granted are set out below:

In accordance with the terms of the Company's unapproved Share Option Plan the price of £0.376 is the average of the mid market prices for the 10 days preceding the date of grant, being 24th Oct 2008, which is higher than the price on the time of the grant, £0.355. 

The issued share capital of the Company is 177,500,000 ordinary shares of 1p each.
