WORKSPACE APPOINTS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
Workspace Group PLC, ('Workspace') the leading provider of flexible business
accommodation to small and medium sized enterprises in London, today announces
the appointment of Angus Boag as Development Director.
Angus, aged 47, joins Workspace from the Manhattan Loft Corporation, where he
has been a Director since 1993, and Managing Director from 2000 to date. He has
wide experience in development project management. He is a Chartered Engineer
and has a Masters degree in project management. With Manhattan loft Corporation
he has developed over 2 million sq.ft of retail, office and residential space
in central London.
Harry Platt, Chief Executive of Workspace, commented,
' As London continues to thrive, the opportunities to pursue the improvement of
a number of our estates in London for mixed use, higher density schemes, are
increasing. There are significant opportunities for the Group to release added
value from intensifying the use at many of our sites. We have recognised the
need to build up our internal expertise to help release this additional value
in this area of urban regeneration.
' We are delighted that Angus is joining us. He brings a wealth of experience
and he has an extremely detailed knowledge of the London market, particularly
in the niche areas of residential and mixed-use development. He joins us with
the intention of building up our capacity in this area, and capturing more of
the latent value in our portfolio.'
Angus joins Workspace on 1 June on a part time basis - taking up his full
position later in the year and reporting directly to the Group Chief Executive,
Harry Platt.
