Worldlink Broker Site Goes Live
Phil O'Connell appointed to head up the service
Worldlink Group Plc, (LSE: WGP) the UK listed Company with gatekeeper patents on providing change data in real time for mobile devices announce today that the Worldlink Broker site has gone live and clients can now undertake all execution only financial transactions through the site. The service is available on both desktop and mobile. The new site can be viewed at http://www.worldlink-brokers.com/.
The execution only transaction capability is a result of a strategic link with a major European investment bank, which gives Worldlink Brokers access to global data feeds which their customers will access to trade on international markets in Shares, FX, Contract for Differences, Futures, and Fixed Income products.
At the same time as the website going live, Worldlink Group Plc announced the appointment of Phillip O'Connell (information appended) to head up Worldlink Brokers. Phil has had a long career in the City with a number of broking firms including HSBC, Durlacher and SP Angel Tradition.
Neil Riches, MD of Worldlink Group Plc said: "Bringing Phil O'Connell on board to head up Worldlink Brokers is an important appointment for the Group. It provides us with the practical expertise that we need to build the broking offer in a very customer orientated way and maximise the revenues available from the opportunity. This is a very significant step for Worldlink as it expands into financial markets. We have two synergistic strategies to build a sizeable business. Generate revenues from offering licences to operate using our issued patents, and building a sustainable business in our own right which will continue beyond the expiration of the existing patents. We are expanding our relationships with various sporting organisations to widen the appeal of the Worldlink/Betbutler partnership and now we will have a third revenue stream in financial services."
Phil O'Connell, head of Worldlink Brokers commented ". The web application going live is good news for both our customers and the Group. We will be providing a very competitive offering in the market and when we make the mobile application live, we will be supplying the very best service to our customers in our view. This is a very significant milestone as it will build early additional revenues directly for the Group. Accessing the global execution which enhances the service to our clients provides organic growth and it is the model for continually upgrading the services that we supply to our clients."
