WPP GROUP PLC ('WPP')
OgilvyOne worldwide acquires
customer relationship management consultancy, QCi
WPP announces that its wholly-owned operating company, OgilvyOne worldwide has
acquired 75% of the issued capital of QCi Assessment Limited ('QCi'), a
UK-based customer relationship management consultancy and entered into put and
call options to acquire the remaining 25%.
QCi's clients include Consignia, IBM, Royal & Sun Alliance and NCR.
The consultancy had revenues of £1.8 million for the year 2000 and net assets
of £438,000 as at 31 December 2000.
The acquisition of QCi, which will continue to operate as a stand-alone
business, continues WPP's strategy of strengthening its networks in important
growth sectors and markets.
