Enterprise IG acquires The Identity Business in Ireland
WPP announces that its wholly-owned operating company, Enterprise IG, the
global branding and identity consultancy, has acquired 75% of the shares of
The Identity Business Limited ('TIB'), Ireland's leading brand and identity
consultancy, and entered into put and call options in respect of the remaining
25%.
Founded in 1990, Dublin-based TIB employs 28 people and provides identity
services to clients including Eircell-Vodafone, eircom, Fineos, An Post and
Bank of Ireland. The company had revenues of Punts 1.87million in 2000 and
net assets of Punts 158,000 as at 31 December 2000.
TIB will become the 21st office of the expanding Enterprise IG network and
continues the Group's strategy of building a leadership position in important
growth sectors and markets.
Enterprise IG is the world's largest branding and identity consultancy with
more than 700 people worldwide in 15 countries and a turnover of over £
100million.
