                 YOUNG & CO.'S BREWERY, P.L.C. (the 'Company')

              9.5 PER CENT. DEBENTURE STOCK DUE 2018 (the 'Stock')


Further to the announcement on 23 April 2007, the Company announces that, at the
meeting of stockholders held earlier today, the extraordinary resolution
authorising the Company to redeem all of the Stock was passed.


The redemption price (based on a spread of 0.20% over the yield on the 4% 2016
gilt) will be calculated at 11.00 a.m. tomorrow and announced shortly
thereafter. CREST accounts will be credited and/or cheques will be posted on 21
May 2007. The Stock will be delisted.
