Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines Limited
14 December 1999
Lusaka, Tuesday 14 December 1999: Zambia Consolidated Copper
Mines Limited (ZCCM) requested on 29 November 1999, the
suspension of the listing of its 'B' Ordinary Shares on the
London Stock Exchange, pending the despatch of a circular to
ZCCM's shareholders concerning the disposal of the Chambishi
Cobalt and Acid Plants and Nkana Slag Dumps.
With the progression of other privatisation issues, ZCCM has
resolved to transfer its primary listing to its country of
incorporation with effect from today 14 December 1999 and
therefore has applied to the Lusaka Stock Exchange for the 'B'
Ordinary Shares to be primarily listed thereon.
ZCCM will seek restoration of the listing on the London Stock
Exchange as its secondary listing for its 'B' Ordinary Shares,
following the despatch of the Chambishi circular.
There will be no change in the arrangements on the BOURSE de
PARIS (March, Libre).
