APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Zen Research plc ('Zen' or the 'Company') announces that Jacob Schimmel,
aged 38, was appointed a non-executive director of the Company with effect
from 24 October 2000. Due to an administrative error, Zen did not announce
the appointment of Mr. Schimmel at the time.
Mr Schimmel replaced David Holmes, who resigned his position effective the
same date. Mr Holmes retained his position as managing director of Zen
Research (Ireland) Ltd. Mr Schimmel is a trustee of UKI Charitable
Foundation Limited, which owns 60,000 ordinary shares of Zen. These shares
were purchased by UKI Charitable Foundation Limited prior to Mr Schimmel's
appointment to the board of Zen.
We refer to the details required by paragraph 6.F.2(b) to (g) of the
Listing Rules and, pursuant to rule 16.4 of those Rules, confirm that
there are no such details to be disclosed in respect of Mr Schimmel.
