Further to the announcement on 28 June 2002, the Board of Zen Research plc ('Zen
' or the 'Company') announces the expected timetable of events for the Scheme .
It is currently expected that the First Record Date will be 15 July 2002. It is
expected that the Court hearing of the petition to sanction the Scheme will take
place on 16 July 2002 and that the reorganisation of the pursuant to the Scheme
will take effect on the same day. It is then expected that the Court hearing to
confirm the Reduction of Capital will take place on 17 July 2002. If the
timetable proceeds as planned, the UKLA will be requested to cancel,
respectively, the trading in the Ordinary Shares on the London Stock Exchange's
market for listed securities and the listing of the Ordinary Shares from the
Official List with effect from 8am on 18 July 2002.
In order to ensure an orderly Reduction of Capital, the Company has requested
that the UKLA suspend trading of the Ordinary Shares of Zen effective at 7:30am
on 16 July 2002.
