Zenova Group PLC's FP fire-resistant paint approved for use
in Enfield Residential Tower Block
Zenova Group PLC ("Zenova", the "Company" or the "Group"), a provider of innovative fire safety and heat management technology and products, is pleased to announce that its Zenova FP fire-resistant paint has been approved for use by the London Borough of Enfield, with its first utilisation to be in a fourteen-story residential tower block.
Under local authority regulations, Zenova FP must be 'specified' for use as a fire protection product before contractors can use it in council owned buildings.
Following a review of Zenova FP's independent test data, the London Borough of Enfield found that Zenova FP satisfies all necessary building regulation classifications for fire-resistant paint, and its use has been approved by the Council's fire officer.
Zenova FP becoming specified as a fire-resistant paint by the London Borough of Enfield occurred following its inclusion by Pelling LLP, an award winning multi-disciplinary design, property, and construction consultancy, in the specification for projects it is undertaking with the London Borough. The first project which will benefit from Zenova FP will be when fire safety is upgraded in the fourteen storey Dover House residential tower block; one of numerous projects Pelling is managing on behalf of the London Borough of Enfield.
Commenting on the news, Tony Crawley, Chief Executive of Zenova Group PLC said: "Addressing fire safety in high rise and multi residency accommodation is of critical importance, as was recently highlighted by the London Fire Brigade when it revealed that there are more than 1,000 buildings throughout London which posed a serious fire safety risk to residents.
"We are, therefore, delighted that Pelling LLP has incorporated Zenova FP into its projects, which include improving fire safety for residents of Dover House, and that the London Borough of Enfield has specified the use of Zenova FP as a fire prevention product. With Pelling LLP consulting for multiple London Boroughs, we believe Zenova FP is well positioned to help address fire safety issues across the wider London area and beyond.
"In Zenova FP we have a fire-resistant paint which conforms to BS EN 13501-1, the very latest standard now adopted by building regulators, and is proven to prevent ignition and the spread of fire.
"Zenova FP is rapidly becoming established and recognised as the leading fire protection paint product in the market and, with the London Borough of Enfield specifying it for use in the buildings it owns, we believe we can play an important role in improving the fire safety of multi-residency buildings throughout the UK."

Note to Editors:
The Group, through Zenova Ltd, is the holder of intellectual property that underpins a suite of fire safety and temperature management products and technology. The product range is applicable to industrial, commercial, and residential markets. The Group's products include fire retardant paints, insulating paints and render, fire extinguishing fluid and applications. Through innovative development, and a refined formulation and development process, Zenova provides industry leading solutions across a range of fire protection and temperature management problems, comprising:
A water-based fire-resistant paint that prevents ignition and spread of fire. It can be used in commercial, industrial and domestic applications on variety of materials, from wood to metal.
Patent pending fire extinguisher filled with proprietary Zenova Fluid (Zenova FXB) that extinguishes all types of fires, reduces chances of re-ignition, works in cold (-15 ̊C) conditions, is non-toxic and does not produce harmful by-products.
Thermal insulating paint that creates a thermal barrier, provides thermal reflection of sunrays & infrared radiation, anti-condensation and anti-mould properties. It can be applied to virtually any exterior or interior material, regardless of the surface.
Thermal insulating render to enhance the effectiveness of insulation by creating a thermo shield. It fills all cavities and gaps regardless of geometric shape and creates a vacuum - the most effective insulator.
Patent pending next generation ceiling sprinkler filled with proprietary Zenova Fluid (Zenova FXB) that removes the need to install large fluid tanks, piping, complicated equipment and software. This sprinkler could be installed in the kitchen.
The Group has achieved this without compromising the sustainability of natural and economical resources, including personal health and safety, with ecologically sound products.
