Acquisition of Target Vehicle Rental Ltd
Northgate plc ('Northgate'), the UK's leading specialist in light commercial
vehicle hire, today announces the acquisition of Target Vehicle Rental Ltd ('
Target'), a light commercial vehicle hire business based in Banbury,
Oxfordshire.
Target, which has a fleet of approximately 1,100 vehicles, operates from eight
sites in the M40 corridor area. The total consideration of £3.36m will be paid
in cash in full on completion. Northgate will fund the acquisition from
existing resources.

area where we are currently under represented. It reconfirms our commitment to
building our core UK business and is in line with our Strategy for Growth.'

hire companies throughout the UK, Ireland and, through a recent acquisition,
Spain. Its NORFLEX flexible fleet hire product gives businesses access to a
flexible and risk-free method to acquire as many commercial vehicles as they

Northgate's turnover for the year ended 30 April 2002 was £278m. It is listed
on the London Stock Exchange and has a market capitalisation of some £250m.
