APPOINTMENT OF INTERIM CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Northgate plc ('Northgate'), the UK and Spain's leading specialist in light commercial vehicle hire, is pleased to announce the appointment of Deborah Stevenson as Interim Chief Financial Officer with effect from 19 July 2010. Deborah will have responsibility for the Company's finance department and will report directly to the Chief Executive.

Deborah qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in 1988 and is also a qualified Corporate Treasurer. Over the past 12 years Deborah has held a number of interim senior finance roles across a wide variety of industries including global manufacturing, logistics and business services.

It is planned that Deborah will lead the debt refinancing discussions at the appropriate time. After this has been concluded we will undertake a search for a permanent Group Financial Director and consider both internal and external candidates.
