Internet TV contract

Ten Alps PLC 26 April 2007 Ten Alps plc ('Ten Alps' or 'the Company') Ten Alps wins first major internet TV contract for UK County Council Ten Alps' digital division has won a competitive tender process to provide Kent TV, an internet TV channel, to Kent County Council, for an initial two year period. The Directors believe that this will be the first such service on this scale in Britain. The channel aims to open new channels of communication with residents through debating local issues and publicising services available, not just from Kent County Council but also other providers. It will showcase tourist and entertainment attractions, and detail advantages for companies thinking of bringing jobs to the county. Kent TV will have an independent board, and the news service will be provided independently to ensure impartial coverage. Ten Alps has a multi-platform approach to content production, and has made migration to online TV a key offering. It already produces media content for 216 councils around the UK. Further details of the Kent TV channel will be announced in the lead up to the Autumn launch of the service. Given the project's phasing, financial impact will reflect in the 2008-9 financial year more fully than the current year to March 2008.
