Ten Alps expands UK government work with new contract wins
Ten Alps Communications PLC ('Ten Alps') has won new work for several of its
divisions from UK government departments in the first three months of the
financial year, April to June.
'We are significantly increasing the amount of effort we put into competitive
tendering processes for public sector work in the UK and Europe, and it has
brought results,' said Alex Connock, Chief Executive. 'Under EC regulations,
most major public sector contracts are now tendered out.'
• Ten Alps Events has won a competitive tender for the Office of National
Statistics.
• In advertising, Ten Alps RMA has won new high-profile national public
information campaigns for the Department of Trade and Industry, including
fireworks safety awareness, and awareness of unsolicited mail promoting scam
lotteries, draws and prizes.
• And the Ten Alps political events division Know Comment has won business
from the Home Office community cohesion unit, and the government's Children
and Young People's Unit.
Nitil Patel, finance director, added: 'A consequence of our stronger balance
sheet position and strong cash balances in the annual results this year, is that
we have been able to present a more convincing case to potential government
clients. Naturally, for them the financial security and scale of suppliers is
extremely important.'
