Ten Alps launches VETS.TV

Ten Alps PLC 09 April 2008 PRESS RELEASE Ten Alps launches VETS.TV and continues online TV rollout An online TV service offering specialist programming for vets, has been launched by Ten Alps, the factual media company, in conjunction with the British Veterinary Association (BVA). The pilot site www.vets.tv went live at the British Small Animal Veterinary Association Congress. Ten Alps progress in Online TV Ten Alps is pioneering similar sector-specific online TV propositions across its 740-strong base of contract-published titles. Ten Alps has a 75% interest in the media consortium behind the professional online TV market-leading Teachers TV channel, which has just won a new contract for the next five years. Ten Alps runs Kent TV, the only fully local authority-funded service of its kind in the UK, and has Public TV, which is a 14 channel B2B online TV service. 'Ten Alps provided publishing services to the BVA and online TV was a natural next step,' said Alex Connock, Ten Alps CEO. 'Online TV business models that really work are increasingly looking like contract publishing, and we are very well placed to drive that market. This is the first of a number of channels we are rolling out this year.' VETS.TV VETS.TV is available on demand, 24 hours a day and includes specially produced films on MRSA, litigation and stress management, best practice, a series of interviews with key veterinary figures and a number of acquired programmes of interest to vets and animal health practitioners.
