Trading update

Ten Alps PLC 18 April 2007 Ten Alps plc ('Ten Alps' or 'the Company') Trading update Multi-platform media group Ten Alps Plc ('Ten Alps') today announces: • The launch of 12 new internet video channels, providing an integrated specialist media platform spanning key sectors including health, military, transport, charities, business, conferences and recruitment, within its Public TV database. • Growth in specialist media products, offline and online, to in excess of 580 unique titles (see below). • An update on the trading impact of these and other developments for the 2007-8 financial year (see below.) Internet video channels launched With the launch of 12 new channels today, Ten Alps has significantly progressed its evolution into an integrated, multi-platform content production company - TV, internet video, offline and live events - working across a large number of vertical editorial markets. Ten Alps believes the primary driver for a media producer to be multi-platform is the client-base: audiences, advertisers and customers now require content to be available through a range of outlets simultaneously (see below). Ten Alps' online presence integrates, around Public TV: • Over 170 suppliers of content, totalling over 3,300 videos, including Downing Street, the Central Office of Information, DirectGov, the Ministry of Defence, the Navy, NATO, the NHS, the European Parliament, the Scottish Parliament, the White House, the World Bank and many charities. • 77 new Ten Alps-owned specialist websites have been launched since April 2006. • Sales of advertising by 330 strong sales staff, offered across multiple platforms. • A new project, - 'Public TV Frontline' - creating living history out of video diaries from the UK's 8 million-plus public sector workers. • Trade events owned by Ten Alps and offered as internet video, with associated advertising. • Other internet video channels in development, such as The Peace Channel, plus significant commercial and public sector contractual discussions underway. Ten Alps' next online TV priority, beyond implementation of the above, is the creation of the US site for Public TV. Ten Alps also has, via subsidiary Brook Lapping, a significant stake in the contract to run the Teachers' TV channel for the Department for Education and Skills - which has a large and high-quality online TV programme database. Growth in specialist media titles and online publishing since December 2006 Ten Alps has significantly expanded the product range it owns or manages to 528 titles plus a further 60 for which it provides advertising sales support and commercial services. Ten Alps is integrating these titles with its online development. Recent acquisitions, product development and contract wins have added a net 38 new titles to the portfolio in the quarter to 31st March 2007. The acquisition of Atalink Limited, announced on 2nd April 2007, delivered titles under management such as The Facilities Management Yearbook, The British Computer Society Directory and The Women's Institute Directory. Contract growth has included the delivery of new agreements for publishing services to the likes of The Chartered Society Of Physiotherapists, The National Autistic Society and The British Wind Energy Association. Contract losses have been minimal and contained within the ongoing business units. In addition, Ten Alps has launched online versions of all titles it publishes from the beginning of 2007 and has won a number of contracts for online publishing services with organisations such as SBGI (Society of British Gas Industries), The Road Haulage Association and Regional Operations Of Local Authority Building Control. Ten Alps continues to bring together niche audiences who require communication delivered in both on and off line platforms, but in all instances such communication techniques offer opportunities for advertisers to reach these focussed communities. In the 2006-7 financial year Ten Alps brought 52,000 advertisers to their markets via its range of titles. Trading impact / further statements While the above business wins do not materially impact the results for the year ended 31 March 2007, recent trading progress gives management reason for early confidence in reporting another year of significant growth in 2007-8. It is expected that a further trading update will be given at the time of announcement of the 2007 results which are provisionally scheduled for the week commencing 11th June, subject to audit completion. A precise date will be announced via RNS nearer to the time. Ten Alps expects to re-launch its own website (www.tenalps.com) at the end of this week.
