Update
Factual media company Ten Alps announces that Education Digital 2 Limited, a
consortium in which, via its wholly-owned subsidiary Brook Lapping, Ten Alps is
a 75% shareholder, has received notification from the Department for Schools,
Children and Families regarding its tender submission for the possible second
phase of the Teachers TV project, to run from the Summer of 2008. Education
Digital Limited, in which Ten Alps is a 70% shareholder, is the incumbent
supplier on the project, having operated the first phase of the contract from
2004-8.
The Department has said that it is now minded to accept the proposal of
Education Digital 2, however as a requirement of law it has now imposed the '
Alcatel' standstill period which will be a minimum of 10 calendar days
(commenced Monday 25 February) before the final confirmation of who has
preferred bidder status and any contract negotiation can begin.
An update will be provided in due course.
