                                Board Appointment


Zotefoams today announces the appointment of Roger Lawson as a non-executive
director. He joined the board on 3rd December 2002.


Mr Lawson, 57, spent over 30 years working for 3i Plc where he was also a board
member from 1987 until April 2002. He was responsible for overseeing a number of
substantial investments and was a non-executive director of numerous industrial
and commercial companies, including Zotefoams from 1992 until 1995, when the
business was floated.


He is a former President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and recent
non-executive and part time appointments include Banner Homes Group plc, Kings
Court Trust Corporation plc and the Thalidomide Trust.
