The Company was notified on 27 August 2003 by UBS Global Asset Management that
UBS Global Asset Management Life Ltd ('UBS GAM') is currently interested in
2,741,300 of the Company's ordinary 5p shares ('Ordinary Shares') representing
7.56 per cent. of the issued share capital of the Company.


UBS GAM is a subsidiary of UBS Global Asset Management Holding (No.2) Ltd which
is also treated as having an interest in the Ordinary Shares.


The Ordinary Shares are registered in the name of Phildrew Nominees Limited A/c
LF20.
