              Temporary production suspension at Croydon facility

Zotefoams plc announces that, following a fire yesterday at its Croydon
facility, production has been temporarily suspended.

While the majority of the facility's production areas and machinery appear
unaffected, the fire has caused extensive damage to the despatch, technical,
maintenance and engineering projects departments. Considerable damage has also
been caused to the company's stocks of raw materials and finished goods.

While the company has insurance cover in place for damage caused by fire to
stocks, buildings and plant and for consequential business interruption, it is
too early at this stage to fully quantify the extent of the damage in terms of
cost.

An assessment of the financial impact and an announcement regarding the
resumption of production will be made as soon as possible.
