Dr. Martens also known as Doc Martens, Docs, or DMs, is a footwear and clothing brand, headquartered in Wollaston, Northamptonshire. Although famous for its footwear, the company also makes a range of accessories including clothing and bags.
The first Dr. Martens boot, the 1460, was made in Wollaston, England on April 1, 1960. The brand's popularity grew after Pete Townshend of The Who wore the boots as a symbol of his working class pride.
