Games Workshop, the world's largest hobby miniatures company. Games Workshop is best known for its Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 ranges, but also has a license for The Lord of the Rings/the Hobbit tabletop battle game.
Founded in 1975 by John Peake, Ian Livingstone, and Steve Jackson, Games Workshop started out making wooden boards for games like backgammon and mancala. Games Workshop is based in Nottingham, England.
