Watermark Global

Watermark Global Plc

26 May 2011

(“Watermark” or the “Company”)

The Board of Watermark (AIM: WET.L) notes the recent share price movement and speculation regarding the company winning a substantial contract for treatment of Acid Mine Drainage (“AMD”).

The Company can state that its wholly owned subsidiary, Western Utilities Corporation (Pty) Ltd. is in ongoing negotiations with the Trans Caledon Tunnel Association regarding the short-term project to clean up AMD. Whilst the Company expects these negotiations will lead to a positive outcome, which would auger well for the Company’s long-term prospects, it will not result in a substantial contract in the short-term.

In addition, the Company has previously stated that it requires additional funds to stay competitive in the AMD short- term and long-term project and is currently working with its broker, Cenkos Securities plc, on this matter and will update shareholders in due course.
