TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES

Amlin plc (“Amlin”) announces that on 11 March 2010 it transferred from treasury to participants in its employee share option scheme(s), the following numbers of its ordinary shares of 28.125 pence each (“ordinary shares”):

15,971 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 110.82 pence per share;
33,349 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 152.85 pence per share;33,349 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 152.85 pence per share;
35,867 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 161.77 pence per share; and35,867 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 161.77 pence per share; and
64,673 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 293.00p pence per share; 64,673 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 293.00p pence per share;

Following the above transfer of shares out of treasury, Amlin holds a total of 6,598,677 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 495,477,329 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
