TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES

Amlin plc (“Amlin”) announces that on 23 June 2011 it transferred from treasury to participants in its employee share option scheme(s), the following numbers of its ordinary shares of 28.125 pence each (“ordinary shares”):

8,047 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 110.82 pence per share

8,478 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 293.00 pence per share

10,285 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 161.77 pence per share

12,561 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 152.85 pence per share

Following the above transfer of shares out of treasury, Amlin holds a total of 5,642,378 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 496,433,628 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
