TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES

Amlin plc (“Amlin”) announces that on 20 December 2012 it transferred from treasury to participants in its employee share option scheme(s), the following numbers of its ordinary shares of 28.125 pence each (“ordinary shares”):

5,074 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 329.00 pence per share.

Following the above transfer of shares out of treasury, Amlin holds a total 4,979,406 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 497,096,600 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
