C&C Group plc appoints Paul Walker as Group Company Secretary

Dublin, London, 29 June 2011: C&C Group plc (“C&C†or the “Groupâ€), a manufacturer, marketer and distributor of branded beverages in Ireland and the UK, is pleased to announce that Paul Walker, who was appointed in June 2011 as General Counsel with responsibility for the Group’s corporate governance, legal and regulatory affairs, has been appointed to a new combined role of Group General Counsel and Company Secretary with immediate effect.
Sinead Gillen, the previous Company Secretary, has stepped down from the role and will leave the Group in due course to pursue other interests.

We have decided to combine the roles of Group General Counsel and Group Company Secretary into one position. He joined from private practice where he was a partner at London law firm Lawrence Graham LLP, where he handled many of the firm's largest and most complex transactions, across all industries.
