Notification of Major Interests in Shares

Following implementation of the new Transparency Directive II Regulation Centrica plc (“the Company”) received notice from Schroders plc on 27 November 2015 (under the obligations imposed by Section 5 of the FCA's Disclosure & Transparency Rules) that on 26 November 2015, Schroder Investment Management Limited had a notifiable interest in 289,823,318 ordinary shares of 6^14/81 pence each in the Company, representing approximately 5.72% of the Company’s issued share capital.
