Centrica Trading Update

Following the detailed guidance provided in its 14 May AGM statement, Centrica
plc today confirms that the Group continues to trade strongly, with the forecast
results for the current half year being further improved by the ongoing low spot
prices for gas in the UK.

The 2007 interim results will be announced on 2 August 2007.
