Orosur Mining Inc. (the "Company") (TSX: OMI) (LSE: OMI) announced today the appointment of a new Chairman, Tony Shearer. The Company is also seeking to appoint two new independent non-executive directors in due course.

Tony Shearer has been appointed to the Board as a Non-Executive Director and Chairman until a new Chairman is identified. He is based in London, England, and is aged 63. He was Chairman of the Company from 2002 to 2009. He is a chartered accountant who was Chief Executive of Singer & Friedlander until 2005, and since then has been non-executive Director of a number of AIM and other listed companies.

Mr Ralph Browning, Mr Mario Caron and Mr Gijsbert Groenewegen have resigned as Directors of the Company.

Mr Bill Lindqvist has advised the Company that he will not stand for re-election at the Company’s next Annual General Meeting after serving as a Director for more than eight years.

David Fowler, Chief Executive, said “I am pleased to welcome Tony back to the Board. Having served as Chairman for seven years, he knows the Company well and as a shareholder has continued to follow its progress closely since he stepped down in 2009.”

The Board of the Company now comprises Tony Shearer as Chairman with Bill Lindqvist, Roger Davey, Julio Porteiro (all independent non-executive directors), Ignacio Salazar (Chief Financial Officer) and David Fowler (Chief Executive).

Save as disclosed in the Appendix below, there is no other information required to be disclosed under Schedule Two, paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules for Companies.
