Aberdeen All Asia Investment Trust PLC (the "Company")

(formerly Gartmore Asia Pacific Trust PLC)

The Company announces that the resolution put to shareholders today regarding
the proposed change of investment manager and change of name was duly passed.

Aberdeen Asset Management will take over management of the portfolio from 10
November 2006.

Following the passing of the resolution and registration with Companies House
the Company's name has changed to Aberdeen All Asia Investment Trust PLC. The
Company's shares will trade under the name "ABAA".

The Company's registered office will become 1 Bow Churchyard, London, EC4M 9HH.

A copy of the EGM resolution is available at the Document Viewing Facility of
the Financial Services Authority, 25 the North Colonnade, Canary Wharf, London,
E15 EHS.
