AIFMD Appointments

The European Investment Trust plc (the "Company")

Notice of Appointment of Alternative Investment Fund Manager ("AIFM") and
Depositary to Ensure Compliance with the Alternative Investment Fund Managers'
Directive (2011/61/EU) ("AIFMD")

In order to comply with the AIFMD, the Company has appointed Edinburgh Partners
AIFM Limited to act as its Alternative Investment Fund Manager ("AIFM"), and
Northern Trust Global Services Limited to act as its depositary (the "Depositary"). 
Custody services, which were previously supplied by JPMorgan Chase Bank, are now 
being provided by The Northern Trust Company (as a delegate of the Depositary).

The management agreement between the Company and Edinburgh Partners Limited
("EPL"), which is not authorised as an AIFM, has been terminated although the
AIFM has delegated the function of managing the Company's investment portfolio
to EPL, the manager of the Company's assets since 1 February 2010. The
management fee and notice period remain unchanged in the new AIFMD compliant
management agreement entered into with the AIFM.
