BlackRock North American Income Trust plc (the "Company") today announces the
publication of its Annual Report and Accounts for the period ended 31 October
2013 and a supplemental prospectus (the "Supplemental Prospectus"), which is
supplemental to and should be read in conjunction with the prospectus published
on 16 September 2013 in connection with a placing programme (the "Placing
Programme") in respect of up to 45,000,000 ordinary shares of one pence each in
the capital of the Company ("Shares").

Copies of the following documents have been submitted to the National Storage
Mechanism:

Annual Report and Accounts (period ended 31 October 2013)
Form of Proxy relating to the Company's Annual General Meeting
Supplementary Prospectus
