ANNOUNCEMENT OF QUARTERLY INTERIM DIVIDEND

The Board of Merrill Lynch Commodities Income Investment Trust plc is pleased
to announce that a fourth quarterly interim dividend in respect of the year to
30 November 2007 of 1.875p per ordinary share has been declared by the
Directors, payable on 25 January 2008 to holders of ordinary shares on the
register at the close of business on 28 December 2007 (ex dividend date is 24
December 2007). This makes a total of 5.25p per ordinary share in respect of
the year to 30 November 2007 which is comfortably in excess of the target for
the year of 4.5p per share.
