Appointment of Director:
The Board is pleased to confirm that Mr David Cheyne will be appointed as a non
executive director of the Company with effect from 1 June 2012. Mr Cheyne is a
qualified lawyer. He is currently Vice Chairman Europe, Middle East and Africa
of Moelis & Company and also a consultant at Linklaters where he was Senior
Partner from 2006 to 2011 and a partner from 1980. Throughout his career at
Linklaters, Mr Cheyne played a central role in a wide range of corporate
transactions, including M&A deals, joint ventures, flotations and general
corporate finance work. In particular, he advised on a number of large mining
transactions including the flotations of Anglo American and Billiton on the
London Stock Exchange, the merger of Billiton and BHP and the takeover by Anglo
American (in conjunction with the Government of Botswana and the Oppenheimer
family) of De Beers.
Mr Cheyne currently has no interest in the share capital of the Company.
There are no further details or disclosures required under Section 9.6.13R
(1-6) of the Financial Services Authority Listing Rules.
