HSBC's voting rights now 7.23%

HSBC Holdings Plc notified the company on 24 July that as of 23 July 2008 it
held voting rights in respect of 23,252,301 shares in the capital of the
company which represents 7.23% of the total voting rights in Bodycote plc as at
that date (6.38% on 13 June 2008).
