BRITISH & AMERICAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC
ADMISSION TO CREST
British & American Investment Trust PLC (the "Company"), (LSE: "BAF"),
announces that from 8.00am today it has registered its shares in CREST.
Company shareholders are able to hold and transfer interests in the Company's
ordinary shares of £1 each within the CREST system.
CREST is a paperless settlement system developed for recognized investment
exchanges and used by the London Stock Exchange. CREST trading is expected to
reduce the cost of settlement and further facilitate trading of the Company's
shares.
