CAPITAL GEARING TRUST plc (the "Company")

BLOCK LISTING APPLICATION

Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and to the London Stock
Exchange for admission to the Official List of a block listing for 113,000
Ordinary Shares of 25p each (the "Shares").

The Shares are for general corporate purposes and shall rank pari passu with
the existing issued shares of the Company.

It is expected that admission of the Shares will become effective on
14 June 2011.
