MIAMI (October 20, 2006) - Carnival Corporation & plc (NYSE/LSE: CCL; NYSE:
CUK) announce that its joint current report on Form 8-K was filed with the U.S.
Securities and Exchange Commission on October 20, 2006 and a copy was submitted
to the UK Listing Authority regarding the approval of an amended and restated
pension plan for Peter Ratcliffe, the Chief Executive Officer of P&O Princess
Cruises International and a member of the Boards of Directors of Carnival
Corporation & plc. A copy of new pension plan was furnished as an exhibit to
the Form 8-K. A copy of the joint current report on Form 8-K will be available
