CHEMRING GROUP PLC
NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS
The Board of Chemring Group PLC ('Chemring' or the 'Company') is pleased to
announce the appointment of Ian Much as a non-executive director with effect
from 1 December 2004.
Mr Much (aged 60) retired as Chief Executive of De La Rue plc earlier this
year, and was formerly Chief Executive of T&N plc. He is currently a
non-executive director and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee of Manchester
United plc, and previously served as a non-executive director of Admiral plc
and Camelot plc. Mr Much is a graduate of Oxford University.
General Sir John Stibbon KCB OBE, who will attain the age of 70 in January
2005, will retire as a non-executive director of the Company at the Annual
General Meeting in March 2005.
Ken Scobie, Chairman of Chemring said: 'We are delighted that Ian Much has
agreed to join the Board as an independent non-executive director. His
managerial and operational experience will be of great value to the Company.
The Board extends its thanks to General Sir John Stibbon for twelve years of
loyal service to the Company, and we wish him well in his retirement.'
