Compass Group PLC (the 'Company') - Savings Related Share Option Scheme (the
'SAYE Scheme')

Michael J. Bailey, Chief Executive of Compass Group PLC, has been granted an
option to acquire 4,925 ordinary shares in the Company at an exercise price of
336 pence per share. The option is exercisable between 1 September 2007 and 28
February 2008.
