Concurrent Technologies Plc
Product Launch
New Advanced Mezzanine Card Board
Concurrent Technologies Plc ("Concurrent") a world leading specialist in the
design and manufacture of high-end embedded computer products announces the
launch of the AM 600/20x, an Advanced Mezzanine Cardâ„¢ (AMC) board.
AMC cards are one of four major product ranges that Concurrent focuses on;
these mezzanine cards have been designed for use in Advanced or MicroTCA
(Telecommunications Computing Architecture) systems. The former is used mainly
in the telecommunications markets, and the latter for applications in the
defence, telecommunications, aerospace and medical markets.
The AM 600/20x supports either two hard disk drives or two CompactFlashâ„¢
drives, therefore allowing mass storage drives, as chosen by the user, to be
easily added into the user's system. The board can be used in conjunction with
AMC processor boards as well as graphics boards already released by Concurrent,
or used with third party products.
Glen Fawcett, Managing Director, commented:
"This new storage board is complementary to our existing AMC products, and offers
our customers the opportunity to obtain the main processing and storage
requirements of their system from a single supplier. AMC products are expected
to appeal to both our existing and new customers within our target markets."
"Our presence in defence and communications, particularly in the USA, is now well
established and we continue to win contracts over our competitors. As stated in
our preliminary results announcement last month, we plan to capitalise on this
established presence by driving new and innovative products into the market."
