Concurrent Technologies Plc
Launch of new VME Board
Concurrent Technologies Plc ("Concurrent") a world leading specialist in the
design and manufacture of high-end embedded computer products used in the
defence, transportation, communications and industrial markets, announces the
launch of their next generation of dual PMC Carrier Board for VME based
applications, the AD CR3/PMC.
The VME board is one of five families of single board computers which position
Concurrent as a world leading manufacturer in this highly specialised field.
The AD CR3/PMC has been designed to ensure that VME, which traditionally is a
strong selling product with long life cycle, remains competitive.
Concurrent believes that with this new development, existing long term
customers can perform a relatively straightforward upgrade to their systems
without recourse to the larger developmental expense of installing the
machinery applicable to the very latest embedded computers.
Glen Fawcett, Managing Director, Concurrent Technologies Plc, commented:
"Making existing products work better continues to provide us with a
competitive barrier.
"Concurrent has a strong reputation in its markets for dynamic development.
Customers who buy our products can be reassured that they should never be left
behind from advances in embedded computer technology. This has obvious economic
benefits to both ourselves and our customers.
