Concurrent Technologies Plc
Product Launch
Dual Display PMC Graphics Adaptor for commercial and rugged markets
Concurrent Technologies Plc (the "Company") a world leading specialist in the
design and manufacture of high-end embedded computer products, announces the
launch of a new product aimed at a wide range of applications within the
defence, industrial control and transportation markets. The product is a PMC
(PCI Mezzanine Card) adaptor - the IO PMC/722, a dual display video/graphics
PMC board.
The principle feature of this PMC board is the ability to provide high quality
video graphics with low power consumption (less than 2 Watts) and will provide
a solution to customers where power, space and cost are key concerns. The IO
PMC/722 can be used to add additional graphics capability to the Company's
current range of processor boards or can be used on any of the Company's PMC
carrier boards; alternatively it can be sold separately to be used on third
party products.
Initially the board is to be released as a commercial product, but it is
planned to have the rugged version of the board released in the near future.
This will extend the board's market appeal still further into applications
operating within much harsher environments.
Glen Fawcett, Managing Director, commented:
"Our product led marketing strategy continues to open new business
opportunities as we build our presence in the marketplace. As with all our new
products, today's launch is in direct response to the needs of current
customers and should prove beneficial in our push to increase our revenues
within both existing and new markets and projects."
