Concurrent Technologies Plc
Product launch: New graphics AMC board
Concurrent Technologies Plc ("Concurrent") announces the launch of a new
product, the AM 400/x01 thereby further strengthening its market leading
position as a developer of high-end embedded computer products.
The AM 400/x01 is a dual display video/graphics Advanced Mezzanine Card (AMC)
graphics board and is designed for applications in the defence,
telecommunications, aerospace and medical markets.
This new product is designed to support a variety of video devices and is
targeted at customers who incorporate graphics into systems where
functionality, power, space and cost are key elements. The board is
complementary to Concurrent's AMC processor boards, and can be used with
MicroTCA™ or ATCA® (Advanced Telecommunications Computing Architecture)
systems. The latter is used predominantly in the telecommunications market,
while MicroTCAâ„¢ is a new high speed serial bus system that has been generating
increased interest.
An important feature of the AM 400/x01, and in line with a growing number of
Concurrent's products, is the capability of operating in harsh environments
such as extreme temperatures.
Glen Fawcett, Managing Director, commented:
"In the past 12 months we have announced the launch of eight significant new
products although many other new products have been taken to market during this
period."
"A fluid approach to product development is at the cornerstone of our business
and through this, a growing number of international customers are choosing our
products over our competitors'."
