Concurrent Technologies Plc ("Concurrent") a world leading specialist in the
design and manufacture of high-end embedded computer products announces the
launch of a new range of CompactPCI® computers, the PP 43x/05x family, using
the latest dual-core processors from Intel®.
This new range of embedded boards is ideally suited to intensive input/output
or data applications. The high performance data processing capabilities
combined with superior I/O flexibility ensures that these new products are
ideally suited for a wide range of applications within the telecommunications,
defence, security, telemetry, aerospace, medical and scientific markets.
These new boards will appeal to both existing and new customers of Concurrent,
as they provide an upgrade path for previous embedded boards, are attractive in
that they support the latest Intel® Core™ Duo Processors, and provide a great
improvement in measured performance/watt.
Glen Fawcett, Managing Director, commented:
"This latest range is a strategic addition to our product lines: the boards can
be used by existing customers to easily upgrade the performance of their existing
systems; in addition new customers looking for I/O intensive high performance
boards should find the boards' feature set very attractive."
"Intel's dual-core technology is proving to be a popular choice of processor
and by increasing the number of products we have featuring this technology,
Concurrent can stay at the forefront of the market place, providing customers
with a choice of products to best suit their applications."
