         APPOINTMENT OF GOLDER ASSOCIATES AS ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANTS         

  * Initiation of Environmental Scoping Studies - another step towards mine

Conroy (AIM:CDG; ESM:CDG.I) is pleased to announce the appointment of Golder
Associates ("Golder") as its environmental consultants for the scoping studies
on the Clontibret gold project, in Ireland. To date, the Company has a JORC
Compliant resource of over 1 million oz defined on only 20 per cent. of its
Clontibret target.

The environmental scoping studies will primarily be related to Clontibret, but
in view of Conroy's other gold discoveries in the area including Clay Lake in
Co. Armagh, 4.5 miles North-East of Clontibret, the study will take place
against the background of these and other closely related discoveries.

Golder employs nearly 7,000 people globally and has extensive mine development
experience in Ireland, across Europe and worldwide. It is widely recognised for
setting industry standards in a range of fields including environmental and
health and safety standards for mining. Golder will work in close association
with Wardrop Engineering Inc. who is currently engaged in the technical and
financial scoping studies at Clontibret.
